Born in Woodditton in 1894, George Albert (Newmarket Q2-1894 3B:506), son of John and Sarah NUNN (née CORNELL). 1901 census...None of the family can be found in the 1901 census. They are in Woodditton in 1891. 1911 census...Aged 16, a farm labourer, he was at 80 Little Ditton, Woodditton with his widowed mother. Of her 10 children, only one had died. |

Enlisted in Newmarket. With his service records not being found, it is impossible to say exactly where and when he was wounded. The only other Suffolk's death that day was also from wounds. The battalion had been heavily engaged on 13th October 1915 in an attack on the Quarries, in particular Hairpin trenches and had suffered 161 killed or wounded. |
